Dr. Sue Fergy is an accomplished researcher. She has written and published on a number of key topics in education and healthcare education. She works with Health Education England as a consultant and coach; having been Clinical Education Lead there (2014–2017). More recently she has collaborated on leadership programmes for the Academy of Healthcare Science and NHS England. Maytree Consulting works with a number of associates. Specialised skills are provided by a small network of experienced educational practitioners with excellent track records for staff development and teaching. In recent years Sue has specialised in developing leadership capacity and educational skills for a wide range of frontline staff. Sue is also a qualified executive coach (the Institute of Leadership and Management) and specialises in career development coaching. Sue has extensive experience of healthcare and education. Trained in London, she initially worked as a Registered Nurse in a number of UK healthcare settings where specialities included surgery, radiology, intensive care, and general practice nursing. Working in higher education, Sue undertook a B.Ed (Hons) in Nursing Education and specialised in the education of a range of undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare professionals. In 2005 she was awarded a PhD (South Bank University) for a research study which focused upon the ways of measuring and evaluating professional healthcare practice. Sue is an Honorary Fellow at the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education at Kingston University and St. George’s, University of London. She is also a Fellow at The Higher Education Academy.
